COST-EFFECTIVE WATER INTAKE & TREATMENT SCREENS
Manufactured in stainless steel or copper-nickel
Hendrick Screen manufactures cost-effective water intake screens that are National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) approved and 316(b) compliant. Additionally, they have an engineering group dedicated to water intake and water treatment screens – ensuring you have the right screen for your specific application.
Hendrick produces intake screens in multiple sizes and configurations, such as T-intakes, half intakes, drum screens and flat panels. Water intake and treatment screens are manufactured in stainless steel or copper-nickel. A customizable Airburst system is available to optimize performance and reduce cleaning costs.

Profile Bar & Wedge Wire Screens for the Water Intake and Treatment Market
Hendrick produces passive water intake screens for withdrawing water from lakes, rivers, streams and reservoirs. Passive screening admits water through the intake point at a low, uniform velocity. Water passes through the water intake screen while debris and aquatic life remain in the water.
Hendrick’s proprietary Profile Bar and resistance-welded wedge wire intake screen designs result in less debris and reduced clogging for a smoother water flow. With no moving parts, passive screens are reliable and easy to maintain.
Water Intake Filter Screen Products
Hendrick manufactures T-intake screens with flexible, cost-effective designs. Flow modifiers maximize flow equalization, reduce head loss and minimize costs. For shallow-water applications, Hendrick offers a patented half-barrel intake screen. This screen has the same flow characteristics as the T-intake screens, but it is designed for shallow creeks and rivers where the full-size version won’t work.
Drum-style screens are ideal for use when the water current passing the screen is very low (such as in quiet waters, lakes and reservoirs), for low water withdrawals, and in tight spaces. These screens are mounted with the flat or curved surface on the top to prevent debris from collecting on the screened surface.
Hendrick's copper-nickel intake delivers economical advantages for applications that require corrosion control or where biofouling is a concern.
Hendrick’s Airburst cleaning system assures trouble-free, uninterrupted operation in high-debris environments or where inadequate water currents cause a buildup of sediment and organic matter on the intake screen that gradually restricts water flow. The Airburst system effectively removes the debris through a rapid release of high-pressure air. It’s fully customizable and available with a choice of automatic or manual controls.
